2 of Pentacles

Traditionally, the 2 of pentacles card represents a state of uncertainty in a Tarot reading, especially when it comes to tangible, practical matters. The querent is asked to show more flexibility as well as mastery in learning to juggle two tasks at once, dancing with the waves of change and the unexpected. Once the ‘dance’ is mastered, so to speak, one can move towards more stability, strengthening constitution.

Seeing the world through a symbolic, metaphysical lens, the 2 of pentacles instantly comes to mind whenever I hear the word ‘uncertainty’. I have created this card in Persian miniature style, inspired by the rare and mysterious Kazanlar deck, rich with symbols, color, and history. Who knows? This painting might be the gate to creating a full deck in the future.
